8 of the Best Pinterest Marketing Tools for Business Growth in 2024
After testing a large variety of Pinterest tools and resources over the past 5 years, these are the Pinterest marketing tools I recommend, use and love.
Check out the features for each and decide if it will help your business grow or save you time.
As always, ask questions in the comments if you’d like more information.
1. Pin Inspector: Keyword Research Tool & Much More
What it does: Pin Inspector uncovers data and trends that you can’t get anywhere else online (not even Pinterest itself).
My favourite features:
- Keyword Generator helps you decide the very best keywords to use in your titles, pin descriptions and images.
- Pins Analyzer shows you the most popular pins by any topic. This means you can spy on these top pins and look at what they’re doing to be successful.
- Top Trends – extracting data from the Pinterest Trends tool and going deeper by pulling a full year of all trending search phrases.
- Pinner Analyzer allows you to see the top pinners on Pinterest for any topic. You can then extract pins for any given user to uncover their best converting content.
What I love:
- The keyword tool integrates with Google Keyword Planner and Keywords Everywhere allowing you to see Google search volume alongside Pinterest data.
- The creator of Pin Inspector does updates adding new features and enhancements on a regular basis.
- It directly drives results – generating more impressions, saves and clicks to your content.
Price: $67 – one-time payment. Coupon code: PIN20 at checkout for $20 off!
2. Tasty Pins WordPress Plugin
What it does: Tasty Pins is a plugin to optimize the images you add to your website for Pinterest and SEO.
This means that when people are sharing your content to Pinterest from your site the proper pin title and pin description will be used – therefore amplifying the performance of your pins.
My favourite features:
- Easily set pin descriptions, titles and even add the pin ID right in your WordPress dashboard (these fields are added with the plugin which you can see in the screenshot above)
- Disable pinning of certain images. This is a good idea to do for horizontal images as vertical images perform best on Pinterest
- Hide Pinterest images on your blog post, while still allowing people to share pins to Pinterest
- Numerous other features such as a Pinterest hover button on images, a Pinterest follow box, page builder support and more
What I love:
- I love that this is a fast, easy to use lightweight plugin that makes my life easier – yes, you can add code for all of the above features, but if you don’t have the skillset or time, this plugin is fantastic
Price: $29 and is billed annually. However, if you decide not to renew the plugin still works, but you won’t get updates. It also has a 15 day money-back guarantee if the plugin isn’t right for you.

3. Tailwind Communities
What it does: Tailwind Communities is part of the Tailwind software. It has thousands of communities you can join that give you a place to share your pins and get more saves.
You can join niche-specific communities such as marketing, self-care, personal finance, parenting, recipes, health and wellness – the list goes on and on.
Once you join a community you can share your pins. You can also share other pins within the community. Just make sure to follow the community rules (usually pin 1 pin for every pin you share).
My favourite features:
- Easily find communities in your niche, ensuring you can share related content (much better than joining Facebook groups where people are sharing pins for various niches)
- You get traffic directly from the followers of people in your community
- See what pins are performing best in the community, giving you an idea of what you can create to compete
What I love:
- You can join communities directly related to your niche which means the right people (in your niche) are sharing your content on Pinterest
- It’s a great tool when starting out on Pinterest as it’s important to pin 3rd party pins within your niche to begin growing your Pinterest presence and telling Pinterest what your profile and boards are all about
- Tailwind Communities grows traffic to your website and helps increase performance on Pinterest
Price: Tailwind Communities is included in all 4 Tailwind plans.
- Free: 5 communities and 30 submissions per month
- Pro ($9.99 per month): 5 communities and 30 submissions
- Advanced (19.99 per month): Unlimited communities and 200 submissions
- Max ($39.99 per month): Unlimited communities and unlimited submissions
My Recommendation: If you only plan to use Tailwind Communities (and not Tailwind as a scheduler) I recommend the free plan to get started. If it really takes off for you you can always upgrade later.
4. Pinterest Scheduling Tools
When it comes to Pinterest scheduling tools, I actually recommend 2 options.
Both options I use and are fantastic. Depending on the size of your business and your marketing goals, either is a great choice.
Pinterest Native Scheduler
What it does: Schedules pins up to 30 days out
My favorite features:
- You can schedule multiple pins in one session, making it easier to copy and paste certain information that is similar, such as the URL
What I love:
- Easy to use and it’s free!
- You can easily access your scheduled pins in the ‘created’ section of your business account
What I don’t love:
- Once you schedule a pin you can not edit the details such as the pin title or description – you can only publish or delete. This is a real pain if you have a typo or want to update information.
Price: Free
Tailwind Scheduler
What it does: Tailwind is one of the top Pinterest schedulers on the market and an approved Pinterest vendor.
In addition to scheduling your pins, Tailwind has Communities (mentioned above) and Create (an easy-to-use pin creator tool).
My favourite features:
- It schedules pins at optimal times
- Saves loads of time
- You can schedule pins months out, meaning you can set it and literally forget it
- Reschedule pins with the Smart Loop feature. This is ideal for seasonal pins – you can pin every year ensuring your driving traffic back to old content
- If you also use Tailwind to schedule your Instagram posts, you can seamlessly pin these too
What I love:
- Tailwind Insights provide valuable data on your best-performing pins, personal boards, group boards, referral traffic and more. Truly valuable insights that help you optimize your Pinterest marketing strategy
Price: 4 plans to choose from
- Free: 20 posts per month, 1 profile, 1 user
- Pro ($9.99 per month): 100 posts, 1 profile, 1 user
- Advanced (19.99 per month): 1000 posts, 2 profiles, 2 users
- Max ($39.99 per month): Unlimited, 3 profiles, 5 users
5. Pinterest Analytics
What it does: Shares key insights on the performance of your Pinterest account. Use Pinterest insights to see which pins are performing best, learn more about the audience that is engaging with your pins, see performance by device and more.
My favorite features:
- Top pins overview – providing you with impressions, saves, outbound clicks, etc for your top pins. Check out this post on how to best use Pinterest Analytics to get more details.
- Top boards overview – review this data before pinning a new pin and make sure to pin to your top-performing boards. Review the impressions, saves and outbound clicks.
What I love:
- If you use Pinterest Analytics to its full capability it is a gold mine of information that allows you to make insightful decisions on how to optimize your Pinterest marketing strategy
Price: Free. Included in your Pinterest business account
6. Pinteresting Pins Subscription & Mastermind
I highly recommend the monthly pin subscription service from Carly Campbell, creator of the popular Facebook group, Blogging Like We Mean It.
What it is: Get 10 custom pin templates every month (for Canva and Picmonkey). Subscription membership also includes access to Carly’s Pinterest mastermind group on Facebook.
My favourite features:
- High quality professionally designed pin templates
- Step-by-step Canva & PicMonkey tutorials, showing you how to best use the pins
- Access to the Pinterest mastermind where Carly goes deep into best practices, tricks of the trade and the most current ways to use the Pinterest algorithm to your advantage
- Membership includes access to Carly’s Pinterest Niche Site Deep Dive training (valued at $37)
What I love:
- I am part of this Pinterest mastermind, not actually for the templates, but to stay on top of best practices for Pinterest. This includes monthly live coaching calls and Q&A sessions.
Price: $19 per month
7. Pinterest Trends Tool
What it does: A powerful tool on upcoming Pinterest trends that you can access inside of Pinterest under the Analytics dropdown.
Currently, the trends tool is available for US, UK and Canadian markets.
My favorite features:
- Look at specific keywords and search volume over time and compare related keywords – helping you decide what KWs to use in your pins
- Get related keyword suggestions and see popular related pins
- Review current trends across popular Pinterest categories, which is a great way to come up with new content ideas
What I love:
- Simple to use and free
- A great tool for seasonal content planning as you can see when certain topics peak
Price: Free. Included in your Pinterest business account
7. Milo Tree (To Grow Your Pinterest Followers)
What it does: A WordPress plugin to help you grow your Pinterest followers, Milo Tree is similar to a pop-up but more user-friendly as it slides over and doesn’t hide content
My favorite features:
- Grow your followers directly from your website
- Mobile friendly
- Available for Pinterest, plus other social channels or to grow your email list
What I love:
- I like that you can control where it lives on your website. I recommend the bottom right-hand corner for the best user experience
- Perfect for people starting out on Pinterest who are looking to grow their following faster
Price: 30-day free trial. $9 a month or $99 a year
7. Google Analytics
If you have a website and you’re not using Google Analytics this is an absolute must!
But, since you’re reading this I hope you do use GA, so let me jump into how you can use Google Analytics as a Pinterest tool.
What it does: See how many sessions Pinterest brings to your website every month, plus find out which pins drive the most traffic to your website.
How to get this data:
- In Google Analytics go to: acquisition/social/network referrals
- Click on Pinterest. Here you’ll see all of the posts and pages listed that have received traffic from Pinterest.
- Click on your top post and here you’ll find a list of Pinterest URLs
- Copy and paste the top URLs into your browser so you can see which pin drives the most traffic for a given post or page
Why this data is important:
- See what’s performing best to give you new ideas on the new ‘fresh’ pins to create for your posts
- See the average session duration of each pin, giving you can idea of how engaged your audience is from Pinterest, vs other social channels
Price: Free
8. Pinteresting Strategies Course
Getting traffic from Pinterest these days is harder than it was in the past. Therefore accessing up-to-date training on best practices is essential if you want to be successful on Pinterest.
What it is: Pinteresting Strategies is a course that shows you exactly how to make Pinterest work for your business or blog.
You’ll learn:
- How to get started on Pinterest if you’re new
- What niches work great on Pinterest
- How to use SEO for Pinterest success
- Best practices to create pins that get consistent clicks
- How to substantially grow your traffic, leads and sales with Pinterest
- Analytics, pinning strategy, video pins, group boards – basically everything there is to know right now
What I love:

- If you follow this strategy you WILL see an improvement on all of your metrics
There are a lot of Pinterest courses out there and this is the only one I recommend.
Price: $97
Other Pinterest Tools & Resources (you may have heard of)
Pingroupie:
Many articles will mention this website. I haven’t included this in my top Pinterest tools as group boards just don’t perform the way they used to. Group boards were successful a few years ago, but today you’ll find more success with your own personal niche boards.
Canva:
This is my go-to tool to make all of my pins. Canva is mentioned above in #6 above. You can use these Pinterest templates in Canva.
If you haven’t tried Canva Pro features sign up for a free trial and see what you think!
You can also check out my free Pinterest templates you can use in Canva.
Pinterest Chrome Extension (Save Button):
This is a handy tool that enables you to quickly pin from any website.

If one thing is for certain – Pinterest is always changing! Glad to hear you found this helpful Katie. Thanks for sharing!
Now that I know group boards aren’t as popular as they once were, I’ll be sure to steer clear! Thanks!
Good plan! Yeah, group boards on Pinterest aren’t what they were. Because so many people are in them it’s hard to control the quality of the pins, which can impact the whole board.
This is so helpful, a great resource to grow my Pinterest. Thanks for sharing!
